About Us
A letter from Tina Horton
I am so delighted and thankful you are seeking interest in Hands of Hope Private Home Care, LLC. This is a licensed private owned business that takes pride and joy in providing Private In- Home Care to the community. I feel it to be of great importance for you not to only know about Hands of Hope but to know about me, Tina Horton, the Owner and Administrator.
I am a native of Warner Robins, Georgia. I am an easy going, laid back, fun seeking, country girl, but above all l am a Godly woman. I have two amazing adult children and daughter in-laws. I have also been so graciously blessed with five grandchildren that I love more than sweets and that is saying a whole lot. LOL!.
My career as a Caregiver began many years ago, part time, while pursuing careers in factory work and furthering my education in Nursing (A.S.), Psychology (B.S.), and Counseling (M.ED). Over the years, I have helped pack, inspect, and supervise the making of Diapers, Glass, and Lay’s Chips. I have counseled the broken hearted, addicted, and the criminally insane but the longer I was a Caregiver the more I was drawn to the desire of helping others remain independent and have the best quality of life as they could. It became a dream and a goal I passionately wanted to pursue.
In 2017, I began Hands of Hope out of a little office located on my brother’s property. As time passed, I decided to move the business to Perry, Georgia for a quieter homey feel. It was then that I found a house that had become commercial property and set up Hands of Hope. Actually, my very first client, Mrs. Hilda Walker, grew up in this old office/house 90 years ago. She was 99 years old when she passed but I will always treasure the stories she shared about her growing up here. What a neat coincidence.
Over time I have realized that there are so many that just need a caring soul to love them through the aging process. This is the type of compassion I strive to implement through our Hands of Hope team of trained caregivers.
We want to make a difference in the lives we serve. By doing so we can, in retrospect, see how it has made a difference in all of our lives.
Here at Hands of Hope we have an open-door policy whether you are the client, client’s family, caregivers, friends, or my own family that if you need or want to, you can just stop by, come in, and take a rest. Let’s talk and get to know each other, share some stories, unload some stress. Let’s help one another though the days of old and the days of new. We are all on a journey, let’s do it together.
Thank you for your interest
